As CertainTeed partners to create a circular economy for recycled asphalt shingles, there is no one better equipped to understand the roofing half of that circle than Jill Betters. She is a strong advocate for corporate environmental stewardship and brings a wealth of experience in multiple stages of the building materials lifecycle.

Jill is the Director of Strategy and Business Development for CertainTeed Roofing. She made the move to CertainTeed’s roofing division in 2021 after holding a variety of marketing and strategy roles with increasing responsibility since joining the company in 2012.

Today, she is responsible for leading the organization’s strategy and sustainability efforts, overseeing circular economy and operational decarbonization in the United States.

Prior to arriving at CertainTeed, Jill worked in sales for a building products manufacturer, working directly with manufacturers, distributors, and architects.

People who have worked with Jill as a colleague or counterpart have described her as a strategic problem solver who can adapt to any situation and someone who is well served by her broad knowledge base, technical expertise, and thorough understanding of the manufacturing process.

She has a passion for volunteering and service and has held leadership roles with numerous civic associations, advocacy groups, and charitable organizations.

Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Villanova University and lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and daughter.
