Deb Mishra
Associate Professor, Oklahoma State University
Dr. Deb Mishra is an Associate Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches courses in the areas of geotechnical engineering, pavement engineering, and railroad engineering. He joined OSU in August 2019 after spending 5 years as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Boise State University. Prior to that he completed his Ph.D. and post-doctoral work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Deb is originally from India, and came to the US in 2004 to pursue his graduate studies.
Dr. Mishra has research interests in the generic areas of Infrastructure Materials, Pavement Engineering, Railroad Engineering, and Transportation Geotechnics. In particular, his research has encompassed the following topics: (1) Performance Monitoring of Transportation Infrastructure through Advanced Instrumentation; (2) Laboratory Characterization of Infrastructure Materials to Support Cost-Effective and Sustainable Engineering Practices; (3) Numerical and Analytical Modeling of Transportation (Pavement and Railroad) Infrastructure; and (4) Sustainability Quantification in Pavement and Railroad Engineering through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
